What do Class Parent Reps do?
Class Representatives play a key role in building a strong and connected school community. They act as a link between parents and the school, helping to foster communication, support social connections, and encourage participation in school life.
- Building Community and Communication
Class reps manage the class WhatsApp group, encouraging introductions and positive communication. They help organise social gatherings, welcome new families, and coordinate volunteers for school activities. - Acting as an Advisory Committee
They attend short meetings throughout the year to provide feedback from parents/carers to school leadership. By staying informed about school initiatives and sharing insights with other class reps, they help strengthen the school community. - Organising Contributions and Fundraising Support
Class reps coordinate contributions for a year-end teacher gift and support the annual fundraising event by requesting donations.
This role is a great way to be involved in the school, connect with other parents, and make a meaningful impact on the school community.
