Private Tuition at Highgate School
Highgate School also offers tuition on flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, singing, modern and classical guitar, piano and drums by private providers.
Priority will be given to students in years 3 and up. Private lessons incur tuition fees and are half an hour in duration. Most providers offer individual lessons, but some tutors also offer shared tuition.
If your child is not currently having private tuition and wishes to commence private tuition, please fill in the following form.

If your child is currently having private tuition and wish to continue with the same instrument in 2024, they only need to let their teacher know.
Tuition Fees
The school has set a suggested fee for private tuition for 2024 as follows: $32.00 for individual lessons and $20.00 for paired lessons.
Note: all lessons are of half hour duration during school hours
Tutors usually invoice families directly at the start of each term.
All tutors have completed the required Department checks and appropriate training to work on site.
Highgate School owns a small number of musical instruments that are available for hire if needed.
The ultimate goal of students who learn an ensemble or band instrument is that they participate in one of the school ensembles, eg. the Highgate Concert Band or the String Orchestra. The ensembles are also open to those students who learn an instrument out of school hours.
